Red Cross meet on blood donation

NEW DELHI: The Indian Red Cross Society is organising a “State Secretaries Meeting on Promotion of Voluntary Blood Donation” in the Capital on Wednesday.

It will discuss issues relating to blood donation and formulation of a plan to achieve 100 per cent non-remunerated blood donation through Indian Red Cross so that the gap between availability and demand for blood is reduced in the country.

Also present at the meet will be IRCS chairman and Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Anbumani Ramadoss.
