RAMANATHAPURAM: The ‘Q’ Branch on Tuesday arrested five persons and seized 10 bundles of beedis to be smuggled into Sri Lanka. Nagendran (42), Ravi (40), Manimaran (29) of Ramanathapuram, Kannan (38) of Rameswaram and Govindan (42) of Therku Kattur were apprehended at Muthupettai shore whey they were loading the bundles on a boat. A mini-lorry, two motorcycles and three mobile phones were also seized. — Staff Reporter
