Karim dismisses reports on park

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Industries Minister Elamaram Karim on Tuesday dismissed media reports that Kerala would lose Central assistance for the proposed Spices Park in Idukki district due to inept handling of the land acquisition process. At a press conference, he said the Spices Park was a project of the State government. The Spices Board had promised to cooperate with it and he hoped that this promise would hold. Union Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh had made remarks about delay in acquiring land.
