College told to refund extra fee

KOCHI: The Admission Supervisory Committee for Professional Colleges has directed the Mother College of Nursing at Thrissur to refund the additional tuition fee collected from 40 B.Sc. nursing students within two weeks. A press release from the committee said the management had collected Rs. 65,000 against the actual Rs. 49,400 fixed by the K.T. Thomas committee. Legal steps would be taken against the management, if it failed to repay. The order was issued on a petition filed by the general secretary of the State Human Rights Protection Centre. — Staff Reporter
