Award for recovering money from fraudsters

Rs. 43 lakh was swindled from Kadugodi Post Office in Bangalore


MYSORE: This year, the Karnataka Postal Circle is presenting a special award to a postal officer who recovered a whopping Rs. 43 lakh that was swindled from the Kadugodi Post Office in Bangalore.

Senior Superintendent of Post Offices of Bangalore West Ramalingam will be receiving the special award from India Post in Mysore on December 15 for recovering the money from the fraudsters without the help of police.

“It is an act of sincerity that should inspire every postal employee. This is an act of efficiency, dedication and utmost commitment which has to be suitably rewarded to encourage fellow postal employees to emulate Mr. Ramalingam,” said Meera Datta, Principal Chief Post Master General.

Also, Vani Memorial award, instituted by the parents of postal stenographer Vani who died at a young age, will be presented to stenographer Srimathi.
