Orissa completes a six-wkt. win

SILIGURI: Orissa scripted a six-wicket win over Bengal on the third and penultimate day of their Ranji Trophy Super league cricket match here on Tuesday.

Requiring 51 runs with seven wickets in hand overnight, Orissa reached the target of 133 for the loss of R. Parida (28).

P. Jayachandra (29 not out) and R. Das (21 not out) guided Orissa home without further hiccups.

In Nagothane, R. Bhatia scored a responsible 107 (314b, 5x4, 2x6) as Delhi finished its first innings at 409 in reply to Maharashtra’s 219. At close, the host was 129 for four in its second innings.
