Vizag college wins first prize

Chem Fest-2007 organised

Kakinada: A student seminar on green chemistry, nano chemistry, spectroscopy and solid waste management was organised as part of Chem Fest 2007 at the P.R Government College here on Wednesday under the aegis of its Chemistry Department.

Under-graduate and P.G students from East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Krishna districts took part in the event. College principal K Balaiah was the chief guest.

SVS Krishnaveni of St. Joseph’s College for Women, Visakhapatnam won the first prize. Syed Rizwana Begum of VS Lakshmi College, Kakinada bagged the second prize. M Suryanarayana of Chaitanya P.G College, Kakinada and NSL Prasanna of P.R College, Kakinada won the third prize.

P.R Govt. College Chemistry Department in-charge MM Basha, other faculty members NVS Sudhakar, T Vara Prasad, U Satyanarayana, D Rama Rao, M Venkateswarulu, K Anand, P Durga Rao, SSN Murthy, K Sita Rani, organising committee members R Brahmaji and PVS Machiraju and others were present.
