BHUBANESWAR: A day after a huge stock of adulterated mustard oil was unearthed at Sambalpur, the police on Wednesday sealed a godown where a large quantity of contaminated ghee was stored. Acting on a tip-off, a team went to a rented house at Khetrajpur area where adulterated ghee stock was kept. Since there was no food inspector, the exact amount of ghee stock was not yet assessed. However, the police suspect that Sitaram Agarwal, who was operating the unit for adulterated mustard oil also owned the ghee stock. As many as 492 adulterated mustard oil tins, 532 empty tins and huge amount of stickers were seized in the raid on Tuesday. The police arrested three persons, including Sitaram, in this connection and presented them in court. The police were likely to continue the raid on Thursday.
