SALEM: The Samarthya 2007, a national level exhibition to display assistive devices for disabled will be held at Tiruchi from January 4 to 7. A press release said the exhibition would feature assistive devices, teaching kits, learning materials and other barrier-free features for persons with disabilities. A camp to screen people for eye and ear defects would be held. Free consultation would be offered for those who have learning difficulties, and knee and back pain. Assistive devices would be distributed free of cost or at a low price to the differently-abled persons visiting the exhibition, a release said.
