Concern over HIV prevalence in Gulbarga

GULBARGA: Prevalence of HIV/AIDS is high in Shahpur and Yadgir taluks in the district, District Health and Family Welfare Officer Nalini Namoshi has said.

She was speaking at a workshop on HIV/AIDS, jointly organised by the Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FKCCI) and the Hyderabad Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, here on Wednesday.

She said that HIV/AIDS was prevalent among people in the 15 to 40 age group in the district. So far, 48 people had died of the disease.
