He was speaking at the Education Adalat covering eight districts coming under the Dharwad Regional Commissionerate held at the District Institute of Education Training (DIET) here on Wednesday.

As many as 234 applications were received during the district-level “Education Adalats”, out of which 122 applications were disposed of, while 112 applications were still pending, he said. He directed the DDPIs to hold “adalats” at the taluk level and take steps to solve the problems immediately.

Earlier, he received 125 applications from teachers of eight districts. He told the teachers that steps would be taken immediately at the regional commissionerate level and those requiring intervention by the Government would be forwarded to senior officials. Applications related to pension, confusion over reservation, misuse of power, health problems of teachers, appointment of non-teaching staff, disbursement of salary, differences among management boards of aided institutions and other issues were submitted during the adalat.
