Agricultural fete from December 24

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Seminars, symposia, open forum, exhibition of agricultural products and agro clinics will be organised as part of the Agricultural Festival to be organised by the College of Agriculture, Vellayani, from December 24 to 30 at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Neyyatinkara.

Competitions will be held in ornamental plants, floral decoration, fruit and vegetable carving, cookery, essay writing, painting and agriculture. The contests will be organised in different categories for farmers, students, housewives and youth. A special prize will be presented for small farming equipment developed by farmers.

Another highlight of the festival is a cattle exhibition.
