KADAPA: A truck carrying batteries lost control and plunged into the Vontimitta tank around Tuesday midnight and large number of fish perished due to the chemical affect and floated on water. Two drivers Hoshiar Singh and Baldev Singh, who sustained injuries were admitted to RIMS hospital here. Vehicle batteries worth Rs. 17 lakh fell into the tank water along with the truck, according to the police. —Staff Reporter
