UNPA meet on farmers

NEW DELHI: Agriculture expert M. S. Swaminathan will address a meeting of the United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) on “Farmers’ Problems, Issues, Challenges and Solutions” here on December 18. The meeting will be attended by farm leaders.

President of the Indian National Lok Dal Om Prakash Chautala said here that among those who will attend the meeting will be former Chief Ministers Mulayam Singh Yadav, Chandrababu Naidu, Babulal Marandi and Farooq Abdullah.

He said the government was sitting on the Report of the National Commission on Farmers submitted by Dr Swaminathan.
