Madhusudhan slams century

HYDERABAD: Madhusudhan (109) guided City college to a 230 run win over Vijaynagar Commerce College in the inter-college cricket tournament for the Ranga Reddy trophy organised by Osmania University here on Wednesday.

The results: City college 314 for five (Madhusudhan 109, Khaja 80, Ishaq 41) bt Vijaynagar Commerce College 84 (Abdullah five for 12, Mukarram five for 25).

OU Science college 162 for eight (Srinivas 72) lost to Vasavi EC 163 for two (Himnashu 82 not out).

St. Francis college 179 (Gauri 55, Rahul 43, Chandrasekhar four for 35) bt Sai Gautam college 104 (Rizwan six for 10).

Malla Reddy Institute of Management 89 bt Keshav Memorial college 88 (Venugopal six for 22).

Bhavans New Science college 283 for nine (Sunny 77, Harshad 41) bt Sanghi college 79.

OU EC 220 (Aditya 53, Raju five for 50) bt Avanti college 99.

LB College 124 lost to PG College 125 for five.

MRC posts win

Malla Reddy College defeated CVR College 26-14 in the City College Old Boys inter-collegiate basketball tournament on Wednesday.

Arjun (20), and Ajay (16) were the leading scorers for MRC while Manoj (10) played well for CVR.

Microsoft in last four

Microsoft beat NMDC by three wickets in the quarter finals of the 3rd JDA Corporate Olympiad’s cricket tournament on Wednesday.

The scores:

NMDC 125 for nine lost to Microsoft 129 for seven (Murali Krishna 62 not out).

Deloitte 193 for seven (Aditya 66, Sairam 63) bt HSBC 169 for eight (Varun 43, Uday 47, Krishna four for 16).

SBH (B) 82 lost to The Hindu 83 for one.

Gati 127 for seven lost to Techpoint Solutions 130 for five (Praveen 53).

Gogia beats Ramana

Sunil Gogia of JHIC defeated A.V. Ramana Reddy also of JHIC 9-6 in the singles first round of the Radha Smelters-JHIC inter-club tennis tournament here on Wednesday.

BHEL basketball

Corporate R and D defeated Haridwar 21-18 in the first match of the BHEL inter unit basketball tournament here on Wednesday.

In another match Jhansi beat Ranipet 35-13. Seven teams are taking part in the tournament.

Pioneers open tennis

The Pioneer Tennis Academy of Mettuguda will conduct an open tournament for boys and girls in various age groups between eight to 18 years in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles from Dec 23 to 31.

Body building meet

The Hyderabad District Body Building Association under the auspices of the Telengana Body Building Association (TBBA) will conduct the 1st Sandeep memorial open body building championship at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan on Dec 18.
