CHENNAI: The following days will be holidays for Central Government offices in Tamil Nadu during 2008: January 15 (Pongal), 19 (Muharram) and 26 (Republic Day), March 21 (Milad-un-Nabi and Good Friday), April 18 (Mahavir Jayanthi), May 20 (Budha Purnima), August 15 (Independence Day), September 3 (Vinayaka Chaturthi), October 1 (Ramzan), 2 (Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday), 8 (Ayutha Pooja), 9 (Dussehra) and 27 (Deepavali), November 13 (Guru Nanak’s birthday), December 9 (Bakrid) and 25 (Christmas).
