Scintillating: Children giving a dance performance at a programme in Karimnagar on Wednesday. KARIMNAGAR: It was a dream come true to the mentally-challenged children of Karimnagar town with lots of fun and frolic, who danced to rhythmic beats on par with normal children. Thanks to the initiatives taken by the Pawan Kalyan fans association, under the Common Man Protection Force (CMPF), the mentally-challenged children had come out of their special schools and performed in front of the huge gathering and won accolades for their scintillating dance performances. In order to provide some kind of relief and recreation for these special children, the members of the association conducted an entertainment programme at Kala Bharathi in Karimnagar town on Wednesday. Karimnagar DSP V Ranga Rao participated as chief guest. The special children had danced to the popular numbers of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan and also local folk songs and some Hindi numbers. When a child danced to ‘Shankar Dada MBBS’, entire audience gave a standing ovation to him. Incidentally, another special child climbed on to dais and danced along with him and enthralled the audience of the town. The organisers distributed fruits, biscuits and water sachets to the children of the special schools. Pawan Kalyan fans association district president Md Arif said that they had taken up the entertainment programme exclusively for the mentally-challenged children under the CMPF to provide some relief and relaxation to the special children, who are otherwise distanced from entertainment programmes. Students of Karimnagar District Freedom Fighters Trust Special School for Mentally Handicapped and Manovikas Special School for Mentally Handicapped of Karimnagar town participated in the entertainment programmes that were organised. They were supported by local dance school children.
