‘Swar Gaurav’ in honour of Rajshekhar Mansur tomorrow

HUBLI: Rajshekhar Mansur, Chairman of the Sangeet Nritya Academy and Hindustani vocalist, will be felicitated by Gangubai Hangal, vocalist, at a special function to be held here on Saturday.

Pandit Rajshekhar Mansur Felicitation Committee, Hubli, is organising the programme, “Swar Gaurav”. Chandrika Kamat, president of the felicitation committee, told presspersons here on Thursday that after the felicitation, Pandit Rajshekhar Mansur would present a vocal recital.

He will be accompanied by Vasant Kanakapur on harmonium and Jadesh Desai on tabla. The programme would be held at Sawai Gandharva Hall at Deshpande Nagar in Hubli at 5.30 p.m., she said.
