Plea to Government

PUDUKOTTAI: Annavasal Union Vivasayigal Sangam secretary C. Kannuthurai and senior trade union leader T. Gurusamy have urged the State Government to take steps for establishing the government engineering college sanctioned for the district in the backward Cauvery Nagar area in Kolathur block.

In a communication to the Chief Minister, they said the Cauvery mill site, comprising hundreds of acres, was lying idle for the past six decades. The government could acquire this site and construct the engineering college. The area is well-connected by both bus and train services.
