ONGC strikes natural gas

Kendrapara : ONGC has discovered visible presence of natural gas in Kendrapara district in Orissa with exploration of its commercial viability likely to be taken up by the end of this month, official sources said on Thursday.

The Rs. 70-crore drilling project is being taken up at Mantripada village after scientific studies confirmed visible concentration of methane gas from the samples drawn, according to officials who met district Collector Kashinath Sahu. The ONGC officials and the Oil India apprised the Collector on the discovery. – PTI
