Belgaum: Additional Director-General of Police, Training and Recruitment, D.V. Guruprasad has called upon police personnel to introspect and behave politely with people approaching them for help. Addressing new recruits at the passing out parade at the Police Training School in Khanapur on Wednesday, he said police officials must keep in mind that people approached them only when they were in trouble and needed help. By and large people had a bad view about the police because of the rude behaviour of some officials and other personnel in the department. Police officials and constables must behave politely with public. A friendly approach would go a long way in improving police-public relations.
