DAVANGERE: People from villages which come under Nerlige Gram Panchayat staged a protest on Thursday in front of the gram panchayat office. They later laid siege to the office to protest against the alleged irregularities in the implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS). They alleged that no works had been undertaken under the NREGS.
