PUDUCHERRY: The Pondicherry University’s Department of Drama has regained its former stature as School of Performing Arts with an order issued by Vice-Chancellor J.A.K. Tareen. Professor K.A Gunasekaran, who joined the university in 1989 as a reader became a professor in 1997 and was HOD in charge, has been appointed as Dean . He said that proposals regarding starting more departments and courses such as Master of Arts in music, dance, folk art and culture, sculpture, painting and visual communication would submitted to the Vice-Chancellor soon.
