Acharuparampil to head KCBC

KOCHI: Daniel Acharuparampil, Archbishop of Varappuzha, has been elected president of Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council. He was elected at a three-day meeting of the Catholic bishops of Kerala at the Pastoral Orientation Centre that ended here on Wednesday. Joshua Mar Ignatios, Bishop of Mavelikkara will be the vice-president of the council. Andrews Thazhath, Archbishop of Thrissur will be the secretary. Stanley Roman, Bishop of Kollam has been elected to head the KCBC Education Commission. The meeting also decided to formulate a guideline for retreat centres in the State.. Staff Reporter
