Former MP passes away

T. Lakshmikanthamma

VIJAYAWADA: Former MP Tella Lakshmikanthamma passed away at her daughter’s house in Vijayawada early on Thursday. She was 83.

Ms. Lakshmikanthamma represented Khammam Assembly segment in 1957 and was elected as a Congress legislator. She was later elected to Parliament in 1962 and went on to get elected thrice from Khammam and continued as an MP till 1977.
