JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Congress Ex-Servicemen’s Department has condemned the act of setting up a stage in front of the martyrs’ memorial on Janpath here on the occasion of the fourth anniversary celebrations of the Bharatiya Janata party Government in the State on December 8. The party, which claimed “exclusive rights to patriotism” should have shown more sensitivity to the families of soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation, said R.P.Singh, president of the department in a letter to Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. The memorial, adjoining the Sawai Man Singh Stadium has come up during the tenure of the present BJP Government in the State. On special occasions Ms.Raje makes it a point to pay tributes to the martyrs prior to attending the rest of the programmes for the day.
