KANNUR: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch ‘rice agitation’ in the State to protest against the government’s ‘failure’ to check hike in the price of rice. Announcing this at a press conference here on Thursday, BJP State president P.K. Krishnadas said BJP activists would stage marches to the district collectorates on December 17. From December 21 to 27, the party activists would march to jails in the districts seeking to court arrest and get jailed. Mr. Krishnadas would lead the march in Thiruvananthapuram on December 21.
