‘Clear arrears of NGEF staff’

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The NGEF Employees’ Union and the NGEF Ex-employees’ Welfare Association will observe “black day” and hold “Raj Bhavan Chalo” on December 20 urging the Government to clear the arrears due to the employees. G.R. Shivashankar, president of NGEF Employees Union, said nearly 2,000 employees who had opted for voluntary retirement were yet to receive arrears. The 122 employees who were still with the NGEF had not received salaries for the past five years. Despite their repeated pleas, the government had failed to settle the dues. Governor Rameshwar Thakur should intervene and settle the demands, he said.
