Comes to an end: The Minister for Environment and Sports, TPM Maideen Khan, offering juice to students of Government Siddha Medical College at Palayamkottai on Thursday.
TIRUNELVELI: Students of Government Siddha Medical College here withdrew their indefinite protest on Thursday following assurance from the Minister for Environment and Youth Welfare, T.P.M. Maideen Khan.
Pressing a charter of demands, the students commenced their protest four days ago.
With no signs of the Government opening talks with the protesting students, they threatened to go on an indefinite fast from Saturday.
However, Mr. Maideen Khan met the students with the assurance that the government would fulfil all their genuine demands at the earliest. The Minister offered juice to the students to mark the end of the protest.
