Hospitals put on alert in Khammam

KHAMMAM: The primary health centres and hospitals in the sub plan area of Khammam have been put on alert in view of the high incidence of fever cases that claimed the lives of over 30 persons so far. A rapid fever survey was ordered in all the affected villages.

M. Raghunandan Rao, Joint Collector and Katamneni Bhaskar, Sub Collector, had an emergency meeting with doctors of all the medical officers from the agency areas at the temple town of Bhadrachalam on Thursday. A control room was opened at the Sub Collector’s office in Bhadrachalam to monitor the situation.
