dated December 14, 1957: Pak situation

Muslim League and Republican leaders met President Iskandar Mirza on December 12 in a bid to resolve the political crisis following the resignation of the country’s sixth Government on December 11. The outgoing Prime Minister, Mr. I.I. Chundrigar, who has been asked by the President to form a new Government, met General Mirza twice and had about three hours of discussion. The Leader of the Republican Party in the National Assembly, Malik Feroze Khan Noon, had about half-an-hour’s discussion with the President.
