Vishal Singh shines

NEW DELHI: Vishal Singh’s brace helped Cavalry Red beat President’s Body Guards (PBG) five goals to three-and-a-half in the pool ‘A’ league match of the Amity Cup eight-goal polo tournament at the Jaipur Polo Ground here on Thursday.

Tunku Iman Ibrahim opened the scoring for the Cavarly team in the first chukker, before the PBG, which started with half-a-goal on handicap, went up through Samir Suhag’s 30-yard penalty.

Cavalry scored two goals each in the second and third chukkers with Tunku Ismail Ibrahim and Tarun Sirohi joining Vishal Singh in the party. For the PBG, Suhag scored two and A. A. Mahmood slotted in one goal. — Principal Correspondent
