Probe sought
Special Correspondent
BANGALORE: The former women’s commission chairperson, Premila Nesargi, has lodged a complaint on the alleged gang rape with the Karnataka State Human Rights Commission (KSHRC) and demanded an inquiry. KSHRC member B. Parthasarathy said that the commission has sought the police report and will record the victim’s statement.
She voiced the suspicion that there may be an effort to hush up the case because, according to her, it involves the relative of an influential politician from Andhra Pradesh.
