Investment subsidy to be released soon

MANGALORE: The Department of Industries and Commerce is arranging to release the investment subsidy to industrial units.

A press release from District Small Industries Association here stated that units which had been sanctioned subsidy by the District Industries Centre between January 1, 1999 and March 31, 2003, both under special and general categories excluding own-investment cases, would receive 25 per cent of the balance due to them.

For units which have been sanctioned subsidy from April 1, 2005 to March 31, 2006, under special and general categories excluding own-investment cases, will receive 50 per cent of the sanctioned amount as first instalment. Details can be had from the association on 0824-2211031.
