Row over fake APPSC interviews issue

Retired employee had also given appointment letters

Member for action against the candidates involved

HYDERABAD: The issue of Ismail, a retired employee of APPSC, who allegedly conducted fake interviews in the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) office and also gave appointment letters to a few candidates, led to an argument between the members of APPSC, its Chairman Y. Venkatrami Reddy and Secretary Harpreet Singh.

A member argued that action should have been taken against the candidates who were involved in the issue while the Chairman felt that case booked against Ismail for forging the signature of the Secretary was enough since APPSC was no way involved in what happened between the candidates and Ismail. A senior member felt that the Commission’s prestige was at stake as the fake interviews were conducted in the premises of APPSC.
