CM to distribute benefits to archakas

HYDERABAD: The first conference on welfare of archakas and other temple employees in the State is being held at Balaji Bhavan here on Saturday.

Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy will distribute various benefits like house loans, educational/ medical aid and pensions to over 1,700 archakas and temple employees that day.

The funds required towards all these benefits are being drawn from the Archaka Welfare Fund under which Rs. 60 crore is available now.

The fund covers over 20,000 archakas and other temple employees working in the 34,000 odd temples in the State.
