Double for ANU

VIJAYAWADA: Host Acharya Nagarjuna University won the men’s and women’s titles in the South-West Zone inter-university netball tournament, which concluded at the ANU campus here on Thursday.

Osmania University of Hyderabad finished second in both sections.

The results: Super league: Men: ANU bt Pune 47-22; ANU bt Osmania 42-32; Osmania bt Bangalore 49-25; Bangalore bt Pune 47-22. Women: ANU bt Annamalai 38-5; ANU bt Bharathidasan 48-39; Osmania bt Annamalai 24-9; Osmania bt Bharathidasan 40-30. — Sports Reporter
