Double century by Ganesh

VISAKHAPATNAM: Thanks to Ganesh Gaekwad’s double century (210, 27x4) Maharashtra amassed 594 against Delhi in the semifinals of the all-India under-22 tournament for the Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy at the Port Stadium here on Thursday.

In reply, Delhi was 12 for no loss at close on the second day of the four-day match.

The scores: Maharashtra 594 in 173.5 overs (Ganesh Gaekwad 210, Amey Shrikhandhe 156, Nikhil Paratkar 43, Parvesh Chikara four for 125) vs. Delhi 12 for no loss in four overs.

Karnataka 292 in 93.2 overs (Amit A. Verma 94) vs. Mumbai 267 for six in 84 overs (Aditya Tare 73, Sarvesh Damley 70, Anup Revankar 48). — Special Correspondent
