The Government has released Rs. 3 crore for the construction of the centre It will have facilities to train 350 recruits at a time
For a new batch: Additional Director-General of Police D.V. Guruprasad (Training and Personnel) lighting a lamp to mark the inauguration of the basic training in wireless operation to the probationary sub-inspectors at the Police Training Centre at Naganalli in Gulbarga on Friday. GULBARGA: Additional Director-General of Police D.V. Guruprasad (Training and Personnel) on Friday said that the work on the new police training school at Huvinahadagali in Bellary district would begin soon. Talking to presspersons here, Dr. Guruprasad said that the State Government had released Rs. 3 crore for the construction of the centre , which would be the seventh such centre in the State. The training school would have facilities to train 350 recruit constables at a time. Dr. Guruprasad said that that the applications for recruiting 701 constables for the special Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) being raised at Munirabad in Koppal district for taking care of the internal security and special duties in the State had already been called for. The selected candidates would be undergoing physical tests in the second week of January in Gulbarga and by February 15 the final list of the selected candidates would be published. Vacant postsHe said the Government had also given green signal for filling up the 3,855 vacant posts of constable in the Karnataka State Reserve Police. The Police Department had called for the applications and after conducting the tests, the final list of the selected candidates would be published by April. Dr. Guruprasad said that the final list of the selected candidates to fill up the vacancies of 425 civil constable posts would be published within a week.
