Jaunpur: A Dalit pradhan of a village in the district was strangled to death by unidentified assailants, police said on Friday. Superintendent of Police (Rural) N.P. Singh said the body of Jiyalal was found near a canal culvert in Lapra village this morning. Old rivalry was suspected to be the reason behind the crime, Mr. Singh said adding efforts were on to nab the culprits.
