Dense fog affects train services

Sonepat: Train services on the Delhi-Ambala-Kalka section of the Northern Railway were disrupted for the fourth consecutive day on Friday due to dense fog.

Passengers, mostly daily commuters, had to wait for long hours at Sonepat and other nearby railway stations.

The movement of almost all the suburban trains was affected, railway sources said adding, trains were running late by 30 minutes to an hour or more.

Traffic on the National Highway No 1 and state highways was also badly hit because of poor visibility due to dense fog.
