NGO association plans stir

MALAPPURAM: The Kerala NGO Association will stage evening dharnas at all Taluk headquarters on Tuesday in protest against the government stand towards price rise and power tariff increase. The Association said that the government’s inefficiency had rendered the Kerala State Electricity Board in debt and the burden was being imposed on the common man. It criticised the government for refusing to intervene in the market even when the prices of commodities went up. — Staff Reporter
