It will also operate on busy routes in the State Many passenger-friendly services available Thiruvananthapuram: The 20 air-conditioned buses of the KSRTC to be flagged-off by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on Saturday will operate from Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Thrissur and Kozhikode to Bangalore and on busy routes within State. Seats in these buses can be booked from the terminal points three weeks in advance, Chairman and Managing Director of the KSRTC T.P. Senkumar said. If four or more passengers together reserved seats in advance, they would get the option to alight and board at any stop of their choice. Buses from the Thiruvananthapuram Central station will have boarding points at Kazhakkuttom, Attingal and Kollam. Mobile phone facility which is now available in KSRTC’s premium services will be available in this service too. Availability of seats too can be known from this facility. The daily Thiruvananthapuram-Bangalore bus (via Ernakulam, Palakkad and Salem) will depart at 1.30 p.m. From Bangalore, the service will start at 4 p.m. (Fare Rs.660). The Ernakulam-Bangalore services (via Kozhikode and Bathery) will depart at 6.10 a.m. and 9.15 p.m. on all days. In the return direction, the services will depart at 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m. (Fare Rs.480). The service from Kottayam to Bangalore (via Palakkad and Salem) will depart at 4 p.m. and at 6.30 p.m. from Bangalore. (Fare Rs.530). The services from Thrissur to Bangalore (via Palakkad and Salem) will depart at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. and from Bangalore at 7.30 p.m. and 10 p.m. (Fare Rs.420). The services from Kozhikode will depart at 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. In the return direction, the buses will depart at 10 p.m. and 12 midnight. (Fare Rs.310). The service from Thiruvananthapuram to Palakkad will depart at 6 a.m. daily.
