Jamabandi on December 20

Belgaum: The Belgaum Taluk Panchayat Jamabandi for the year 2006-07 will be held at the panchayat office on the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises at 11 a.m. on December 20.

The jamabandi is being conducted to “ensure effective implementation of rural development programmes, promote and secure greater participation of people, provide transparency and access to information to citizens, redress public grievances, enforce accountability and do all things necessary for the purpose of promoting responsive administration in gram panchayats”, according to a release.
