Bharat Nirman Utsav from today

GMC Balayogi Stadium at Amalapuram to host the utsav

Amalapuram: Bharat Nirman – Public Information (Samachar) Utsav will be organised from Saturday at GMC Balayogi Stadium here. East Godavari district is the ninth district in the State to hold the utsav. P. Bharatha Lakshmi, senior official in Press Information Bureau, Vijayawada, who is looking after the arrangements of the five-day event here, told The Hindu similar utsavs were already conducted in Krishna, Khammam, Vizianagaram, Nellore, Anantapur, Nalgonda, Rangareddy and Nizamabad districts and they were planning to conduct next programme in Mahaboobnagar in January.

She said during the Utsav they will gather public opinion and submit the same to the Union Government about the people’s response to the Government programmes.

The PIB Officer said they had chosen rural areas to know actual pulse of the people about government schemes.

Ms Lakshmi said about 70 stalls would be set up as a part of the utsav at GMC Balayogi stadium .
