Kochi: A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Friday directed the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) to open separate counters for distributing ‘aravana’ to those devotees who bring their own containers to Sabarimala. The Bench also directed the Board to open sufficient number of ‘aravana’ counters so that overcrowding could be avoided. The Bench also dismissed a petition filed against the TDB’s decision to terminate the contract given for preparing, packing and supply of ‘aravana’ at the board’s counters.
