Profession tax exemption

HYDERABAD: All employees drawing a salary of Rs. 5,000 a month or less have been exempted from paying profession tax. A decision to this effect was taken here by Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy after a review meeting to discuss rationalisation of tax structure, tax slab under the AP Tax on Profession, Trade, Callings and Employment Act, 1987.
