A Congress baby: BJP
Special Correspondent
Bangalore: Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Minister R. Ashok has alleged that the Congress was trying to mislead people on the issue of “Sakrama.”
Addressing a party workers’ meeting, Mr. Ashok alleged that it was the Congress Government headed by S.M. Krishna which drafted the regularisation bill under the stewardship of the then Urban Development Minister D. K. Shivakumar in 2004.
In the next year, a Cabinet sub-committee comprising the then Congress Ministers Ramalinga Reddy and S.R. Morey had fixed the penalty for regularisation of revenue sites, he said.
