Power station named after Tata Rao

HYDERABAD: The government has renamed the Vijayawada thermal power station after Narla Tata Rao, a doyen of the electricity sector who served in the erstwhile APSEB as chairman for long.

The 1,600 MW station coming up at Krishnapatnam in Nellore district was named after Damodaram Sanjeevaiah, former Chief Minister of the State.

The new names will come into force with immediate effect.
