BELLARY: Karnappa Rastapur, Sessions Judge, First Fast Track Court, Bellary, convicted Raghu of murdering a woman and awarded life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 1,000. On August 17, 2006, Raghu had made a fatal attack on Shabeenabi, with a sickle, when the latter tried to prevent him from holding the hand of her sister, Shahana, near a field in Holalu village in Hadagali taluk, according to the police. — Staff Correspondent
